Built by Operators

Built by operators. For operators.

Vault SOP Systems exists because controlled documentation should feel like part of the operation — not an obstacle to it.

I’m Luke Steven Datson. My background is hands-on cannabis cultivation, including work in a legal CBD facility in Guernsey and helping establish a medical cultivation operation in Guernsey.

What I learned on the floor.

Operators do not need more words. They need clearer decisions.

  • What needs to be ready before the job starts?
  • What is the correct sequence?
  • What gets checked and recorded?
  • When do you stop, hold or escalate?
  • Who signs off the release?

Those questions drive the way every Vault master is structured.

No compliance theatre.

A document does not make a facility compliant by itself. The site still owns validation, training, approvals, equipment suitability, local legal requirements and controlled issue. Vault’s job is to give serious operators a far stronger starting point: a coherent execution system rather than a blank template.

Why the detail matters.

Good documentation removes friction. It protects traceability, reduces ambiguity, supports training and makes it easier for teams to do the same job the same way. That is why I obsess over the small things — the order of a checklist, the size of the text, the position of a release gate, the way a record is laid out and whether the whole thing still works on a phone.

That is the Vault standard: practical enough for the floor, disciplined enough for review.
